Austral Phoenix is thrilled to announce the appointment of Thomas Rogers as League Men’s Coach for the upcoming season, alongside Torz Mensforth as League Women’s Coach.

Rogers returns to the role following an outstanding period of success, having guided the League Men toback-to-back premiership titles. His leadership and ability to foster a high-performance yet connected playing group have been central to the program’s sustained success.

“I’m really excited to be back working with the team and experiencing the culture we’ve been developing as a group,” Rogers said. “I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of returning faces at the club, as well as new faces who want to get involved, and pushing to see what we can achieve in 2026.”

On the women’s side, Mensforth steps into the League Head Coach role after playing a key part in the League Reserves program last season, assisting Josh Lowrie and Harrison Paay. Her impact across the program was clear, bringing strong technical and tactical knowledge, and a commitment to player development.

“Stepping into my first season as head coach is a privilege and a significant milestone for me,” Mensforth said. “Having previously played in this team and now being unable to play, this opportunity allows me to continue my involvement in the club and contribute to the team in a new way.”

“Overall, a League Women’s premiership is my focus,” she added. “The Austral women’s program has been very successful and competitive in recent years, and I feel the momentum is with us.”

These appointments reflect the club's commitment to maintaining continuity, supporting development, and pursuing excellence across both League programs. The club looks forward to another exciting season under the leadership of Rogers and Mensforth and can’t wait to see what both teams can achieve in 2026.
