For the first time in Austral Volleyball Club’s long and decorated history, both Premier teams will compete on the biggest stage of the SAVL season.
Our Premier Women will face USC Lions and Premier Men will take on the Norwood Bears in a historic Grand Final double-header at The Lights this Saturday, bringing together two excellent campaigns and two very different opportunities to add to the club’s history.
The Premier Women earned their place with a 3-1 preliminary-final victory over USC Lions, securing their first Grand Final appearance since 2016. After a weekend away from competition, they will return to the court at 3:00pm chasing Austral’s first Premier Women’s championship in 45 years.
The Premier Men joined them in the decider following a superb four-set victory over Minor Premiers Mount Lofty on Sunday. With their season on the line, the boys produced one of their best performances of the year to claim a 3-1 win and advance to their third consecutive Grand Final. They will now face Norwood at 6:00pm with the opportunity to complete a historic premiership three-peat.

Having both Premier teams reach the Grand Final in the same season is a landmark achievement for Austral and reflects the work of the athletes, coaches, team managers and volunteers across both programs.
